IE employs 3 of the UK’s 4 triple certified Drupal 10 experts

We've always said we have some of the best developers in the business here at IE Digital. So, when three of our team took the exams to become Acquia Triple-Certified Drupal Experts, it came as no surprise when they all passed with flying colours. This makes them the UK's best-qualified Drupal 10 team.

Three is the magic number

Our Head of Digital Nathan Powis and Senior Web Developers Jeff Logan and Dan Lewis all achieved the triple accolade this month. And we were especially delighted to discover they've joined a pretty exclusive club: currently there are just 4 triple-certified Drupal 10 Experts here in the UK, with 71 worldwide (plus 4 with the Japanese qualification)*.

That really does make IE Digital the UK’s most qualified Drupal 10 team.

Advanced Drupal expertise

An Acquia Triple-Certified Drupal Expert is a Drupal developer (or Drupalist) who has achieved the three core Acquia certifications in a version of Drupal. In Acquia's words, each triple-certified developer has "demonstrated advanced Drupal expertise".

That means they simultaneously hold the Acquia Certified Developer, Acquia Certified Back End Specialist and Acquia Certified Front End Specialist certifications – in our case, for Drupal 10. For Drupal versions up to Drupal 9, the accolade was known as the Drupal Grand Master.

His Final Project entitled "Assessing the value of the CBIRM (Corporate Brand Identity and Reputation Matrix) framework to an international charity seeking to re-articulate its corporate brand" utilises the charity Open Doors International as a case study. In 2018, he graduated with Distinction.

He is a Visiting Industrial Fellow and Guest Lecturer at Aston University, a BSEEN business mentor, a volunteer for the Ahead Partnership and a Queen’s Small Business Charter Mark business school assessor for the Association of Business Schools. Ollie recently retired as a trustee of Trident: Reach The People Charity (a £14m+ social investment charity in the Midlands) to become a founder member of Christian Aid's Salt Business Network.

Ollie was consulted by Lord Young as he gathered insights for ‘The Report on Small Firms’ and Lord Heseltine for his report ‘No Stone Unturned in Pursuit of Growth’. Lord Young’s office expressed thanks with an invitation to No.10 Downing Street and the Queen’s Garden Party.

In his free time, he is an avid runner, cook and figurative sculptor. Having raised thousands of pounds running half and full marathons for Midlands charities, he’s currently trying to improve his personal best.
